It's time for your 2015-16 School Physical

Yes, summer vacation has just begun, but with a busy summer ahead, Hampton-Dumont Community School District urges parents to schedule students' wellness physicals and immunizations for June and July from one of our local providers:  Koenen and Collins, Iowa Specialty Clinics and Franklin Medical Center.   We are grateful for their support!!   Please schedule appointments now, then relax and enjoy the rest of summer!

Letter to Parents, April 21, 2015

Dear Parents and Guardians –

As you may know the Hampton-Dumont Community School District’s policy on curricular and non-curricular clubs has been the focus of several news reports this past week.  Specifically, a Chicago-based law firm, Thomas More Society, alleges that our decision to not recognize Students for Life of America as a curricular club is discriminatory.

We want you to know that we are reviewing our policy and the current assessments of the clubs that are categorized as curricular and non-curricular.  We likely will have an update next week. We are confident this process will provide greater clarity to you, to your children, and club organizers and supporters.

Our goal at Hampton-Dumont is to provide all of our students with educational opportunities both in and outside of the classroom.  We look at this issue as an opportunity to learn and clarify.

Todd D. Lettow
Superintendent

Estimados Padres y Tutores –

Todd D. Lettow
Superintendente
